About Dr. Groth

 
 

Dr. Lisa Groth received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Emory University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and graduated magna cum laude from Duke University. She has been practicing in the Atlanta area since 1990, seeing both children and adults.

She received training at the Yale University Child Study Center, focusing on assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and families, and developing a subspecialty as a child psychologist. She also is a former Co-Director of the Psychology Clinic for Assessment, Therapy, and Research at Georgia State University.

Dr. Groth is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Georgia Psychological Association, the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), and the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Foundation. Dr. Groth has participated in Safe Zone training. She strives for an open and accepting practice, which feels safe for all individuals regardless of race, sex, age, gender identification, sexual orientation, or relationship status.
